Distribution is one of a quadruplet aspects of marketing. The distribution business is the middleman between the manufacturer & retail merchant. Fallowing the product is made by the supplier/factory, these are often stored inside the distribution company's storage warehouse. A product is so sold to retailers or client. A more 3 area of the marketing mix are product management, pricing, and promotion. Should channel relationships become informal or even contractual? Should channel members part advertising (referred to as co-cooperative ads)? Should electronic methods of distribution exist as utilized? Are there physical distribution and logistical issues to treat by having? What may it dollars & cents to keep an inventory of products inside store shelves and in channel storage warehouse (known as filling a pipeline)?
